The Night of the Labyrinth is one of the most beloved events of the summer in Calvi dell'Umbria, a village in the province of Terni with a characteristic urban structure that resembles a labyrinth. For one night, the historic center becomes a natural stage: arts, music, and dances await visitors among the illuminated alleys, small squares, and terraces.
The red thread
The route is marked by a red thread (or ribbon) that, starting from Piazza Mazzini, serves as a common thread throughout the itinerary. Following it, you will encounter jugglers, musicians, dancers, actors, and performers, photography and painting exhibitions, sculpture displays, craft markets, and refreshment stands with local specialties.
A community celebration
Organized by the Pro Loco of Calvi dell'Umbria, which also handles the artistic direction, with the patronage of the Municipality, the Night of the Labyrinth has free admission and attracts thousands of people. The event is part of the village's summer programming, in dialogue with the Calvi Festival, and enhances the identity and beauty of this corner of southern Umbria.

The 2026 edition of The Night of the Labyrinth is scheduled for Saturday, August 9, from 7 PM, within the Calvi Festival program. The historic center of Calvi dell'Umbria transforms into an artistic route marked by the red thread starting from Piazza Mazzini, animating alleys, small squares, and terraces until late at night.

How to get there
Calvi dell'Umbria can be reached by car from the SS3 Flaminia or from the A1 (Magliano Sabina or Orte exits) and from the road to Narni. The nearest stations are Narni-Amelia and Terni. Parking is available on the outskirts of the historic center; the village is explored on foot.
Admission
Free admission. The event begins in the evening, from around 7:00 PM, and continues until late at night.
