Tesero: A Village to Experience

A mountain village that lights up every Tuesday

There is a moment in summer when the historic center of Tesero stops being just a pretty village in the Val di Fiemme and becomes a sprawling stage. It happens every Tuesday evening in July, when the cobblestone alleys and frescoed houses of the town fill with music, scents, and voices: this is "Tesero: A Village to Experience," an event that invites residents and tourists to discover the town by strolling, at a leisurely pace, from square to square.

What to expect

The formula is simple and wins people over with its sheer authenticity. The historic center, closed to traffic, transforms into an open-air path where you will find:

• Live music spread across squares and courtyards, with performances and intimate concerts;
• Restaurants, bars, and local venues open late, offering regional gastronomic delights and specialties from the Val di Fiemme and Val di Cembra;
• Exhibitions and artistic crafts, a true strength of Tesero, famous for its furniture makers and master luthiers who craft soundboards and musical instruments;
• Small markets and stalls featuring local products, handmade items, and regional specialties;
• Entertainment for children and families, with games and activities along the route.

Born from the passion of volunteers

The event was born in 2013 from the initiative of local volunteers, associations, and business owners, with the goal of highlighting the most genuine characteristics of this alpine community. Over the years, the event has featured themed evenings, such as medieval costume re-enactments animated by historical groups from Trentino, bringing ancient trades, games, and flavors of yesteryear to the streets of the village.

Tesero, a cradle of traditions in Val di Fiemme

Nestled at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters in the Municipality of Tesero, in the Province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), the town is considered a true cradle of traditions. Its historic center houses churches, chapels, and the historic Casa Jellici, while the surrounding landscapes are part of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Tesero is also an Olympic town, home to the cross-country skiing stadium at Lago di Tesero, a key venue for the Winter Games.
