A night of music and young talent in Poggio Imperiale
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Terranovese Festival is a celebration of music and young talent that brings Piazza Placido Imperiale to life every summer. This open-air stage is located in Poggio Imperiale, a charming town in the Tavoliere area of the province of Foggia, in northern Apulia. Launched in 2009, the festival takes its name from the term "terranovese," which the local community uses to identify itself, and has steadily grown into one of the most popular events on the town's summer calendar.
At the heart of the event are the local voices and faces: the Terranovese Festival provides a platform for singers, musicians, and emerging artists to showcase their passion, creativity, and desire to share their art with the public. The evening features a mix of live performances, entertainment, and appearances by well-known figures from the Italian music scene, creating a festive atmosphere that brings all generations together.
The festival is a key highlight of Poggio d'Estate, the extensive calendar of events, music, and traditions with which the Municipality of Poggio Imperiale celebrates the month of August. Alongside the Terranovese Festival, the summer program includes band concerts, food and wine evenings featuring typical Tavoliere products, local festivals, historical re-enactments, and sporting events, making the small Apulian town a hub for residents and visitors alike during the summer nights.
With its simple and heartfelt approach, the Terranovese Festival is much more than a music competition: it is a moment when Poggio Imperiale gathers in the square to celebrate its community, give space to its talent, and share one of the most beautiful nights of the Apulian summer.
The 2026 edition of the Terranovese Festival is anticipated for the summer in Poggio Imperiale, as part of the Poggio d'Estate program. At this time, the Municipality and the organizing committee have not yet announced the exact date or the program for the 2026 edition.
