A festival that crosses borders
The Terra e Laghi Festival is one of the most important travelling theatre reviews in Northern Italy, curated by the company Teatro Blu. Its mission is to bring theatre out of conventional venues, into the squares and villages of Insubria, the historical and cultural region straddling Lombardy and the Canton of Ticino, where borders become places of encounter rather than barriers.

Terra e Laghi — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Terra e Laghi Festival celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the travelling review by Teatro Blu, with 85 shows in 44 municipalities between Italy and Switzerland, from May to November, on the theme "Geographies of the possible". The official opening is on June 5, 2026, at the Giardini Estensi in Varese.
The Lavena Ponte Tresa stop is scheduled for August 1, 2026, at 6:30 PM at Area Feste Tretto, with the show "Vengo Anch'io" by Teatro Invito.
