A widespread festival in Valceresio

The Piambello dal Vivo Festival is a travelling theatre review that crosses Valceresio, in the Varese area, transforming twelve municipalities into as many stages. Squares, woods, villas, trails, and historical sites become settings for theatre, street theatre, circus, and dance performances. Among the municipalities involved is also Induno Olona, in the province of Varese, which hosts one of the stops on the rich program.

Theatre, circus, and dance for everyone

The festival offers dozens of free performances distributed throughout the season, from May to December. The programming is deliberately varied and accessible: from street theatre to contemporary circus, from dance to site-specific performances designed to interact with the locations that host them. Among the innovations of recent editions, there are also performances using sign language and featuring deaf artists, a sign of concrete attention to inclusion.

The Induno Olona stage

In Induno Olona, the festival brings one of the scheduled events to evocative spaces in the municipality, such as the Corte Don Andrea Riva. The performance is part of the broader review, which accompanies the Valceresio community throughout the summer and autumn, culminating in the grand finale in December with a travelling performance.

Art and territory

Promoted by Intrecci Teatrali together with local organizations, Piambello dal Vivo is one of the longest-running and most established theatre festivals in the Varese area. Its strength lies in creating a dialogue between art, places, and communities, enhancing the landscape and social heritage of Valceresio. For Induno Olona and the other municipalities involved, it represents an opportunity for widespread culture and participation, focused on free access and accessibility.
