The contemporary circus festival at Parco Moretti in Udine
Every summer, Parco Moretti in Udine becomes the headquarters of Italian contemporary circus. Terminal Festival is a showcase born from the collaboration between the Associazione Circo all'InCirca, a group of circus artists, and the cooperativa Puntozero, cultural designers, and multimedia creators. The result is a festival that invites artists from around the world to engage with the city through acrobatics, juggling, physical theatre, and new forms of live performance.
The heart of the festival is the large fuchsia and yellow tent, set up in the natural arena of the city park, complemented by outdoor spaces. Here, evening shows, itinerant performances, concerts, and DJ sets take place, along with a rich offering of workshops: circus, but also art therapy and creative recycling. There are also itinerant libraries dedicated to the history of contemporary circus and opportunities for artists and audiences to meet and share.
Terminal is designed for a broad, family-friendly audience: some come for the more poetic and visionary shows, while others come for the offerings suitable for children. The food area completes the experience, turning every evening in the park into a small celebration. The closing is traditionally marked by a spectacular collective performance, capable of bringing together dozens of performers.
The festival is realized with the support of the Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Department of Culture of the Comune di Udine, the Ministry of Culture, PromoTurismoFVG, and the Fondazione Friuli. It has become one of the most defining events of the Udine summer, bringing international companies to Udine and promoting Parco Moretti as an open-air cultural space.
The 2026 edition of Terminal Festival takes place from June 12 to 21 at Parco Moretti in Udine. Ten days of contemporary circus shows, acrobatics, and juggling, with two tents, a food area, and a program alternating evening performances, concerts, DJ sets, and workshops for all ages.
