The Tenno Alpine Festival, a community ritual in Garda Trentino

Some events capture the soul of a village better than any guidebook: the Tenno Alpine Festival is one of them. Organized by the Tenno Alpine Group, part of the National Alpine Association (Trento Section), it takes place in the La Pozza area, at Ville del Monte, in the municipality of Tenno, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). It is a gathering that every summer brings together Alpini, authorities, and citizens around the values of memory, friendship, and community service.

A day marked by tradition

The rhythm of the festival has always followed the same simple and heartfelt ritual. After meeting in the morning, the flag-raising ceremony officially opens the day; this is followed by Holy Mass, accompanied by the voices of the Coro Lago di Tenno, a choir that performs traditional alpine songs and provides one of the most moving moments of the entire event. After the official speeches comes the convivial heart of the festival: the alpine lunch, open to everyone, an opportunity to taste local dishes and share the stories that link Tenno to its history.

A bond that goes beyond borders

The Alpine Festival is not just a local event. For years, it has hosted friendly delegations, including the Kameradschaft Landhaus from Austria, a testament to the cross-border friendships that characterize alpine communities. The Group, founded in 1965, preserves and passes on the village's memory: in 2025, on the occasion of its sixtieth anniversary, the figure of soldier Attilio Berti, born in 1914 in Ville del Monte and missing during the retreat from Russia, was honored.

La Pozza and the new Festival Park

The setting for the festival is the Festival Park in La Pozza, a community space inaugurated in the autumn of 2025, which carries on the legacy of the old alpine park overlooking Lake Tenno. Here, among the woods and just a short walk from the stunning Lake Tenno and the medieval village of Canale, the festival also becomes an invitation to discover one of the most authentic corners of Garda Trentino.
