About Stagione del Filarmonico

While the Arena rests, it is the Teatro Filarmonico that houses great music in Verona. The Fondazione Arena di Verona's 2026 season brings a year-round programme to the stage of the 18th-century theatre: operas by Mozart, Verdi, and Puccini, the ballet Swan Lake, symphony concerts, and chamber music. A refined programme, in one of Italy's most elegant historic halls.

Verona's winter musical heart

The Teatro Filarmonico is the winter venue of the Fondazione Arena di Verona: when the Arena's Roman amphitheatre closes its summer opera season, it is here, in the 18th-century hall designed by Francesco Galli Bibiena, that great music continues in the Scaliger city.

The 2026 season

The 2026 programme runs from January to December with a total of 42 evenings. The opera season features repertoire titles and rarities: Mozart's Don Giovanni, Vivaldi's L'Olimpiade (at the Teatro Ristori), Verdi's Falstaff, Menotti's Amelia al ballo paired with Stravinsky's Jeu de cartes, and Puccini's La Bohème. The ballet closes the year with Swan Lake. The symphony season, with eight subscription concerts, and chamber music events complete the calendar.

A great Veronese institution

The Orchestra and Choir of the Fondazione Arena – among Italy's most prestigious ensembles – are the protagonists of all productions. The Filarmonico season is a regular event for opera and classical music enthusiasts and an opportunity to discover a cultural Verona that thrives far beyond the famous Arena festival of the summer.
