Art, thought and music at the Roman Theatre of Verona
The Festival della Bellezza is one of the most refined cultural events on the Italian scene. Founded in 2014, it brings major figures from the world of thought, literature, and music to the Roman Theatre of Verona each year to reflect together on a theme of existence, chosen as the guiding thread for the edition.
The program alternates between master lectures by philosophers and intellectuals, original theatrical monologues, and concerts by big names on the Italian music scene. The setting of the Roman Theatre, an Augustan amphitheater at the foot of Colle San Pietro, makes every evening an experience suspended between culture and the beauty of the place.
Although its heart is in Verona, the Festival della Bellezza has taken on a national dimension over the years, with stops in other Italian cities. However, the Verona event remains its defining one, capable of transforming the Scaliger city, in Veneto, into the capital of thought for a few days in September.
The 2026 edition, the 13th, is dedicated to the theme of The Symbolic: an investigation into the power of symbols in art, the psyche, and life, entrusted to some of the most renowned Italian thinkers and artists.
