67 days of music, sport, and culture on Verona's UNESCO walls, at the San Bernardino Bastion
The Mura Festival is the major summer event that enlivens the San Bernardino Bastion, part of the historic walls of Verona inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. For over two months, the bastion becomes a free, open-to-all outdoor meeting place where music, sport, culture, and conviviality intertwine daily.
The festival offers 67 days of programming, over 600 hours of free events, and around 250 appointments, involving over a hundred associations and more than twenty world cuisines. The days have a thematic rhythm: jazz and soul mid-week, new emerging bands, party nights, family-friendly events, and moments of relaxation and wellness.
Alongside music, the Mura Festival dedicates ample space to sport and civic engagement, with events like the Mura Urban Trail, a competitive race over multiple distances, days dedicated to the environment and urban biodiversity, solidarity walks, and the official Verona Pride party. The space is free for everyone, including associations.
Promoted by the Municipality of Verona and organized by Studioventisette in collaboration with DOC Servizi Verona, the Mura Festival has become one of the most beloved events of the Scaliger summer: a way to rediscover the historic walls as a vibrant, shared space open to the entire community.
The 2026 edition of Mura Festival, the 7th, enlivens the San Bernardino Bastion from May 28 to August 2, 2026. Promoted by the Municipality of Verona and organized by Studioventisette with DOC Servizi Verona, it offers 67 days, over 600 hours of free events, and around 250 appointments, featuring over a hundred associations and more than twenty world cuisines.
The program alternates live music, sport, theatre, culture, wellness, and family activities, with special events like the Mura Urban Trail and the official Verona Pride party.
