Young people's theatre in Verona
Veronetta #SpazioTeatroGiovani is the theatre festival that enlivens the Veronetta district in Verona every June, giving a voice to hundreds of young people. It is the culmination of the long work of the theatre workshops curated by Spazio Teatro Giovani, a project of the Mine Vaganti APS association, which involves actors aged 8 to 36 throughout the year.
Two stages in the heart of Veronetta
The festival takes place in two locations: Parco Santa Toscana, which evening performances transform into an open-air theatre and community space, and the Teatro SS. Trinità, a historic theatre in the district. The performances address current issues—from war to migration, from the transition to adulthood to intergenerational relationships—often reinterpreting classical myths and tragedies from a contemporary perspective.
A community project
More than just a review, Veronetta #SpazioTeatro Giovani is a collective experience: young people not only act but also participate in the organization and management of the festival. Some events are part of the Verona Theatre Summer programme, confirming the initiative's deep roots in the city's cultural life.
Veronetta #SpazioTeatroGiovani — edition 2026
The sixth edition of Veronetta #SpazioTeatro Giovani takes place from June 2 to 30, 2026 and revolves around the theme 'Daughters/Sons', which connects workshops and performances. 203 young people, aged 9 to 36, present their work and also manage the organization of the event. The program includes 18 events at Parco Santa Toscana and 4 at Teatro SS. Trinità, two of which are part of the Verona Theatre Summer programme.

Performances at Parco Santa Toscana (9:30 PM)
- June 2–3 — Macerie, a variation on Euripides' 'The Trojan Women' (ages 21–27 group)
- June 7–8 — Anime in Viaggio, stories of asylum seekers and migrants
- June 14–16 — Abbiamo tutta la vita davanti, on the transition from study to work (ages 21–36)
- June 24, 26, 28, 29, 30 — Una donna. Edipo. La guerra, a reinterpretation of the Oedipus myth from a female perspective, the concluding performance

- 4 performances, including 2 in the Verona Theatre Summer programme
