The Teatro Comunale Eschilo in Gela, overlooking Piazza Sant'Agostino in the city center, hosts the 'Vivo il teatro' season, a program that weaves together drama, music, comedy, and popular tradition. The festival is conceived and produced through a collaboration between ASC Production and the Teatro Eschilo, under the artistic direction of the Sicilian singer-songwriter and actor Mario Incudine.
Eight events for every taste
The program runs throughout winter and spring with eight shows ranging from dramatic theater to concerts, and from sophisticated comedy to spoken-word recitals. Highlights include Incudine’s civil and poetic portrayal of Archimedes, Deborah Iurato’s Christmas gospel, Roberto Ciufoli’s gentle comedy, a jazz tribute to the songs of Enzo Jannacci, a theatrical portrait of Anna Karenina, and the memory of Rosa Balistreri brought to the stage by Lucia Sardo.

Vivo il teatro — edition 2026
The 2025/2026 season of the Teatro Comunale Eschilo in Gela confirms the winning formula of 'Vivo il teatro': eight shows that span genres, from drama to concerts, and from comedy to theatrical recitals. The artistic direction is entrusted to Mario Incudine, while production is handled by ASC Production in collaboration with the theater. The shows take place in Piazza Sant'Agostino, in the heart of the city, from December to May.
