The Taormina International Music Festival is a classical and operatic music series held in the evocative Teatro Nazarena, located on Via Fontana Vecchia in the heart of Taormina (Messina province, Sicily). Promoted by the Italian Opera Live Cultural Association, the festival offers intimate, high-quality artistic evenings featuring internationally renowned soloists and ensembles in an elegant, cozy setting just steps away from the famous Ancient Theatre and breathtaking views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.

Chamber concerts and Opera Selection

The program is divided into two complementary strands. The June concert cycle presents piano recitals, chamber groups, and duets ranging from the Romantic repertoire to Italian singer-songwriters and the South American sounds of Villa-Lobos and Piazzolla. Alongside these, the Opera Selection runs throughout the season from May to October, offering a curated collection of the most beloved arias from the great Italian melodramas, performed by international artists with piano accompaniment.

Performances take place at 9:15 PM in the intimate Teatro Nazarena, a venue that fosters a direct connection between performers and the audience. Tickets include a complimentary drink on the theatre terrace, a moment of conviviality before or after the show that completes the experience. Admission is free for children under six.
