Lecco joins the ASviS network with 27 distributed events
The Sustainable Development Festival is Italy's largest initiative dedicated to the culture of sustainability, promoted nationally by ASviS (Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development). In 2026, Lecco also joins this network with its first local edition, a sign of the growing attention of the city on Lake Como to environmental and social issues.
The Lecco edition offers 27 events spread from May 6th to 22nd across the city and its surrounding municipalities. The program is intentionally varied: public meetings, workshops for children, nature excursions, cultural and artistic events, talks on inclusion and disability, and discussions on sustainable food. A mosaic designed to make the 17 goals of the UN's 2030 Agenda accessible and concrete.
The festival is organized by R-Evolution APS in collaboration with Officina Badoni ATS and with the patronage of the Municipality of Lecco, but it relies on a broader network of environmental, cultural, and third-sector associations. This strong associative base gives the festival a highly participatory and community-driven character.
Among the stated objectives is to introduce younger generations to sustainability issues through accessible and engaging experiences. The opening on May 6th at Officina Badoni is dedicated to food policies, with a debate followed by an anti-waste aperitif. This is a first step that places Lecco, in the Province of Lecco and the Lombardy Region, within a national cultural movement.
The Sustainable Development Festival arrives for the first time in Lecco from May 6th to 22nd, 2026, integrating the city into the national circuit of ASviS, the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development.
The program includes 27 distributed events across the city and region: public meetings, children's workshops, nature excursions, cultural and artistic events, talks on inclusion and disability, and discussions on sustainable food. The initiative is organized by R-Evolution APS with Officina Badoni ATS and the patronage of the Municipality of Lecco, supported by a network of environmental, cultural, and third-sector associations.
