The festival that tells the world through journeys, photography, and cultures
Immagimondo is the festival of journeys, places, and cultures that transforms Lecco into a window onto the world every autumn. Founded in 1998 and organized by the association Les Cultures, it is one of the longest-running and most distinctive cultural events in the city on Lake Como, dedicated to travel as an experience of knowledge and cultural exchange.
The heart of the festival consists of photographic exhibitions, meetings with writers, explorers, and journalists, screenings, and reports from every corner of the planet. It also includes urban walks, workshops for adults and children, and musical and performance moments. A rich program—over forty events in its largest editions—capable of engaging diverse audiences.
Immagimondo is not just Lecco: the festival extends to Civate and Mandello del Lario, broadening its scope to the villages on the eastern branch of Lake Como. It's a way to promote the region and bring the culture of travel beyond the provincial capital, within the Province of Lecco.
Consistent with its themes, the festival encourages train travel and more sustainable mobility, and relies on the commitment of volunteers and supporters. Most events are free to attend, with some exceptions for concerts and performances. Immagimondo remains one of the most beloved cultural events of the Lecco autumn, in the heart of the Lombardy Region.
Immagimondo 2026, a festival of journeys, places, and cultures, runs from October 3 to 18 in Lecco and the municipalities of Civate and Mandello del Lario, on Lake Como. It is organized by the association Les Cultures APS.
The program includes photographic exhibitions, meetings with writers and explorers, screenings, urban walks, and workshops for adults and children. The opening is scheduled for October 3 with the inauguration of the photographic exhibition. Among the announced guests are geographer and writer Matteo Meschiari, director of Altreconomia Duccio Facchini, and poetry slam champion Simone Savogin.
