Running for a good cause

The Fibrosi Run — You Run, I Breathe is a non-competitive race held in Giussano, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza, with a clear objective: to raise funds for research on cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects primarily the bronchi and lungs from birth. The proceeds are donated to the Foundation for Research on Cystic Fibrosis (FFC Ricerca).

Two routes around the lake

The event offers two routes, 6 and 10 kilometers, winding through the picturesque setting of the Giussano lake. The start is scheduled for the morning from the lake car park: a formula open to everyone, from the most trained runners to families with children, who can participate by walking.

A solidarity machine

The event is organized by the Comitato Laghetto and the Pro Loco of Giussano, together with the association "Io corro con Giovanni" and with the support of local and national solidarity partners. Past editions have attracted over 1,200 participants, allowing tens of thousands of euros to be raised for research: numbers that show how Fibrosi Run has become, in just a few years, a reference event for solidarity sports in Brianza.

Sport and community

More than a race, the Fibrosi Run is a community celebration: a morning where running or walking together becomes a concrete way to make your contribution. Sponsored by the Municipalities of Giussano and Carate Brianza, it is an example of how sport can become a tool for solidarity and awareness.
