Concerts and culture among the Romanesque churches of Almenno
In Almenno San Bartolomeo, a municipality in the province of Bergamo at the gateway to the Valle Imagna, an extraordinary wealth of Romanesque architecture is concentrated. The Antico Lemine Review, promoted by the Lemine Foundation – defined as the "European antenna of Romanesque art" – transforms these centuries-old buildings into vibrant spaces of culture and music throughout the summer.
The heart of the review is the Rotonda di San Tomè, a circular masterpiece of Lombard Romanesque architecture, which hosts classical and sacred music concerts. The program extends to other symbolic places in the area, such as San Giorgio in Lemine, which hosts historical conferences, the Madonna del Castello, and the Woodworker's Museum.
In addition to concerts, the review offers historical conferences, guided night tours, workshops for children, and book presentations. It is a complete cultural offering, designed to guide the public in discovering the Romanesque heritage of Almenno through various forms of expression.
For visitors to the province of Bergamo, Antico Lemine is the ideal opportunity to combine listening to great music with the discovery of one of the most important Romanesque complexes in Lombardy. The review runs from June to September, with evening and Sunday events.
The Antico Lemine Review 2026 opens on June 1 and closes on September 13, taking place in the main Romanesque sites of Almenno: the Rotonda di San Tomè, San Giorgio in Lemine, the Madonna del Castello, and the Woodworker's Museum.
