The Paesana stop of the music festival at the foot of Monviso, in the Po Valley
Suoni dal Monviso is one of the most deeply rooted music festivals in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. Promoted by the I Polifonici del Marchesato Association, the festival spans six months and crosses several valleys in the Cuneo area, bringing music to villages, squares, and natural settings at the foot of Monviso, the mountain that locals have always called the King of Stone. The 2026 edition is the twenty-second, featuring ten events spread across eight municipalities and four valleys, with a common thread dedicated to the four natural elements โ air, water, earth, fire โ and a strong focus on sustainability, accessibility, and youth engagement.
In the municipality of Paesana, in the Po Valley, the festival stops with one of the most anticipated events on the calendar. Paesana is one of the classic access points to Monviso and its valleys, providing a natural backdrop for a concert that brings big names in Italian music to high altitudes. For the 2026 edition, the Arena Losasse stage in the Agliasco hamlet hosted Francesca Michielin with her summer tour "Strega comanda", in the same open-air space that previously hosted Diodato.
More than just a series of concerts, Suoni dal Monviso is a cultural project that intertwines music, territory, and community. The organizers' philosophy โ "making music together, for everyone, in beauty and respect for the places" โ translates into a program that alternates between major pop artists, choral groups, youth orchestras, and sacred music moments, culminating in the final concert at the Saluzzo Cathedral. The festival involves over thirty local partners and serves as an opportunity to discover the Cuneo valleys through music.
The Paesana stop of Suoni dal Monviso is an opportunity to experience the Piedmontese mountains through music, far from large city arenas and in close contact with the Monviso landscape.
On Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Paesana stop of Suoni dal Monviso hosted Francesca Michielin at the Arena Losasse, in the Agliasco hamlet of Paesana, the same open-air space that previously welcomed Diodato. The concert, part of the 22nd edition of the festival, confirmed the event's vocation to bring big names in Italian music to the foot of Monviso.
The singer-songwriter performed in a trio formation, with a stripped-back and intimate set as part of her summer tour "Strega comanda".
The setlist included tracks from the EP Anime and the singer-songwriter's hits such as Distratto, L'amore esiste, Nessun grado di separazione (second place at Sanremo 2016), and Chiamami per nome (second at Sanremo 2021).
The concert is part of the 22nd edition of Suoni dal Monviso, a festival spread over six months, ten events, eight municipalities, and four valleys in the Cuneo area.
Paesana is located in the Po Valley, in the province of Cuneo (Piedmont). By car, it can be reached from Saluzzo along the SP589 road towards the Monviso valleys. The Arena Losasse is located in the Agliasco hamlet of Paesana.
