Independent music, art, and creativity on the beach in Roseto degli Abruzzi
The Sunny People Festival was created to welcome the summer season on the Adriatic coast of Teramo, bringing live music and contemporary culture directly to the sands of Roseto degli Abruzzi, in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo. The event takes place on the public beach of Lido Ah!Mar, along the Lungomare Trieste, transforming the shore into an open space dedicated to music, creativity, and social connection.
The experience is divided into several thematic areas that coexist throughout the day:
The Sunny People Festival has built its identity around Italian independent music, alternating between established artists and emerging projects. The program highlights new talent and bridges the gap between the local Abruzzese scene and national acts, all within the informal and participatory atmosphere that has become the festival's hallmark.
Alongside the concerts, the program offers creative workshops, activities for children, art sessions, and entertainment. Special attention is paid to sustainability and respect for the marine environment, with initiatives designed to help visitors enjoy the beach responsibly. Organized by the Ah!mar Eventi association in collaboration with the Municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi, the festival remains free, independent, and accessible, making it one of the most anticipated events at the start of the Abruzzo summer.
The third edition of the Sunny People Festival was held from May 22 to 24, 2026, on the public beach of Lido Ah!Mar in Roseto degli Abruzzi, drawing over 7,000 visitors over the three days, with audiences coming from the provinces of Teramo, Pescara, Chieti, and L'Aquila, as well as from the Marche region.
The most anticipated moment was the Stazioni Lunari project, directed by Francesco Magnelli and Ginevra Di Marco, featuring Motta, Setak (fresh winner of the Targa Tenco), Giorgio Canali, and Lamante: the sunset concert was one of the most moving moments of the event. Also on stage were Nico Arezzo, Il Mago del Gelato, Funky Lemonade, and CousCous a Colazione, while the evenings concluded with DJ sets, including one by Mundial.
The 2026 edition was preceded by a preview on April 18 at the Villa Comunale in Roseto and was accompanied as always by an art area, an independent makers' market, workshops, and a sea-view food area. Organized by Ah!mar Eventi with the Municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi, it maintained its free admission policy.
The festival takes place on the public beach of Lido Ah!Mar, along the Lungomare Trieste in Roseto degli Abruzzi. The Roseto degli Abruzzi train station is on the Adriatic line and is just a short distance from the seafront. By car, take the Roseto degli Abruzzi exit on the A14 motorway.
Admission is completely free for all three days.
We recommend arriving early for the main evening concerts and wearing comfortable clothing suitable for the beach and evening sea breezes.
