The summer cultural festival of the Valley of the Temples Park arrives at the Roman Villa of Realmonte
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Summer Skies at the Park is the summer programme of the Archaeological and Landscape Park of the Valley of the Temples, the body managing one of Italy's most important UNESCO sites. Throughout the summer, the festival enlivens not only the temple area in Agrigento but also a network of extraordinary locations across the region: the Panoramica dei Templi Theatre, the Cloister of the Badia in Licata, the archaeological area of Eraclea Minoa, and, in the municipality of Realmonte, the evocative Roman Villa.
The Roman Villa of Realmonte, in the province of Agrigento (Sicily), is a late-antique residence overlooking a stretch of coastline famous for the nearby Scala dei Turchi. In this setting, the Park hosts one of the most intimate stops of the festival: evenings dedicated to words and storytelling, such as the "Iddi โ wandering voices" project, which weaves together Sicilian literature, memory, and identity with free admission. It is an event designed to experience the archaeological site in a different light, at sunset and under the starry sky.
Although spread across multiple venues, the festival has a unique soul: over seventy events ranging from major symphonic and jazz concerts to theatrical performances, film screenings, and literary meetings. Alongside the big names hosted in the temple area, the "minor" stops like the one in Realmonte offer a more intimate programme with strong local roots.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced by the Park: the calendar is usually released later in the season, between spring and early summer, on the official website and the entity's social media channels.
At the moment, the Archaeological and Landscape Park of the Valley of the Temples has not yet released the dates and programme for the 2026 edition of Summer Skies at the Park. Based on previous seasons, the festival usually kicks off towards the end of June and continues until September, with events distributed between Agrigento, Realmonte, Licata, and Eraclea Minoa.
The detailed programme, with the names of the artists and the evenings hosted at the Roman Villa of Realmonte, will be announced on the Park's website and on agrigentoticket.it. This page will be updated as soon as official information on the 2026 edition becomes available.
