Summer Emotions, summer in the historic center of Bressanone

Summer Emotions is the summer festival held in the capital of the Municipality of Bressanone (Brixen), in the Province of Bolzano, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. On select Thursday evenings between July and August, the historic center of this episcopal town turns into a large, convivial open-air space where the flavors of South Tyrolean tradition meet live music, DJ sets, and the relaxed atmosphere of summer nights.

A culinary journey through local venues

The heart of the event is a true food and wine itinerary involving the most popular venues in the historic center. Starting at 6:00 PM, bars, restaurants, cafés, and wine bars offer their specialties: South Tyrolean cuisine, international dishes, quality street food, aperitifs, cocktails, and craft beer. In Piazza Maria Hueber, there is always a stand dedicated to homemade krapfen, with sweet and savory fillings ranging from spinach to sauerkraut, and poppy seeds to fruit jams.

Music, DJs, and entertainment

Each evening is accompanied by a rich musical program spread across various points in the center: live concerts, bands, and DJs animate the streets and squares until late, creating a widespread stage where music and flavors converge. Each venue hosts different artists on various dates, offering a fresh atmosphere to those strolling through the alleys.

A family-friendly and sustainable event

Summer Emotions is also designed for families: during the evenings, the Brixen for Kids space remains open with activities for the little ones, while a trampoline is set up in Piazza Duomo. The event is promoted as a Green Event, featuring the use of reusable tableware, vegetarian options, waste recycling, and regional, seasonal products. To reach the center without parking worries, the urban bus line 320.1 Albes–Varna service is extended into the evening hours.

Summer Emotions is organized by Bressanone Turismo Soc. Coop. Admission to the event is free; you only pay for what you consume at the participating venues. The detailed program for each evening is available on the official Bressanone Tourism website.
