The music school's students in concert across Roncofreddo, Longiano, and Montiano
The Summer Concert of the Tre Monti Music School is the event that marks the end of the academic year for the local music school every June. The festival takes place in the hilly hinterland of the province of Forlì-Cesena, in Emilia-Romagna, and is unique in being a travelling event: three consecutive evenings, one for each of the three Municipalities that host the school's branches and give the association its name, Roncofreddo, Longiano, and Montiano.
The event is organized by the Tre Monti Music School, managed by the Tre Monti Band Corps APS, a non-profit association based in Montiano. The school, recognized by the Emilia-Romagna Region, offers an educational program consisting of individual lessons and ensemble music, with branches in Montiano, Crocetta di Longiano, and Roncofreddo. Its most representative ensemble is the 3Monti Band, which includes the most advanced students.
The Summer Concert is the moment when young people and adults who have attended the courses throughout the year take the stage and perform in front of their communities. More than a showcase of established artists, it is a celebration of local musical education: the audience consists of families, friends, and curious onlookers, and the atmosphere is typical of summer festivals in the small towns of the Cesena area.
The initiative is supported by the Municipalities of Montiano, Longiano, and Roncofreddo and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena, which particularly supports a project dedicated to the musical education of children and young people in vulnerable situations. It is an example of how musical culture can become a social anchor in the small towns of the Romagna hinterland.
For the 2026 edition, the Summer Concert of the Tre Monti Music School followed the usual travelling format over three evenings, all starting at 9:00 PM.
The students of the music school took the stage, at the end of a year dedicated to individual lessons and ensemble practice. The initiative was carried out with the patronage of the Municipalities of Montiano, Longiano, and Roncofreddo and with the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena.
The program is entirely entrusted to the students of the Tre Monti Music School, who present the repertoire studied during the year in individual and ensemble formations. The details of individual pieces and formations were not publicly released.
The concert is held for three consecutive evenings, always at 9:00 PM: in Roncofreddo on Via Cesare Battisti, in Longiano at the Rio Parco di Budrio, and in Montiano in Piazza Maggiore.
The three Municipalities are located in the hinterland of Forlì-Cesena, reachable by car from the Cesena exit of the A14 motorway and from the Via Emilia. The nearest train station is Cesena, from which you can continue by car or local transport.
As this is a year-end recital for the music school promoted by the municipal administrations, the event is held outdoors and is open to the public. For details on times and any changes, please contact the association at [email protected].
