Gourmet street food at Parco Schuster, at the foot of the Basilica of Saint Paul
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Street Food Village by Gambero Rosso is a festival dedicated to street food that brings Parco Schuster to life, the large green space at the foot of the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls in the San Paolo district of Rome. Launched in 2025 as a showcase for the historic Street Food Guide by the famous food and wine publisher, the event transforms the park into a true village of taste, complete with scenic lighting, music, relaxation areas, and communal tables designed for families and visitors.
The heart of the event features over 20 street chefs selected by Gambero Rosso from among the best street food practitioners in the country. Amidst stoves, pans, and gourmet creations, the stalls offer a journey through regional flavors—from Sicily to Puglia, from Tuscany to Abruzzo and the Marche—alongside international specialties ranging from Mexico to Greece, India to the United States, and Spain. There is no shortage of gluten-free options, desserts, and drinks, ensuring an offering capable of satisfying every palate.
Beyond the tastings, the program alternates between entertainment and in-depth sessions: show cooking by resident chefs from the Gambero Rosso Academy, mixology demonstrations with award-winning bartenders, and meetings with well-known figures from the gastronomic world. Journalists, educators, and experts share stories and recipes from Italian territories, making street food not just a pleasure for the palate but also a narrative of identity and tradition.
Promoted with the patronage of Municipio VIII of Rome Capital, the Street Food Village is held with free admission: a convivial occasion that enhances one of the city's most evocative green corners in the Lazio region, combining quality certified by Gambero Rosso, accessibility, and a neighborhood festival atmosphere. A summer appointment that weaves together good food, street food culture, and outdoor living.
The 2026 edition of the Street Food Village by Gambero Rosso has not yet been officially confirmed.
