About Street Art Festival

Two nights of rap and urban culture in the heart of the Ciociaria region: the Street Art Festival in Sora transforms Parco Valente into an open-air stage where hip-hop concerts, live mural painting, photography exhibitions, and basketball tournaments blend into a single immersive experience. Organized by the ASD X-Park APS association, the festival showcases emerging artists from the Italian rap scene and writers who leave new works on the city's walls every year.

The urban culture festival in Ciociaria

The Street Art Festival in Sora is the event that brings hip-hop culture to the heart of the Ciociaria region, in the province of Frosinone, every summer. For two nights in late July, the Parco Valente on Via Aldo Moro becomes an open-air urban village: rap concerts featuring emerging artists, live murals by street artists, DJ sets, photography exhibitions, and street sports coexist in a festival designed primarily for local youth. It is organized by ASD X-Park APS, a non-profit association that promotes social growth through street culture, offering new generations concrete opportunities for expression and community.

A young history, growing edition after edition

Born in the early 2020s, the festival reached its third edition in 2024, held on July 25th and 26th at Parco Valente: the first night featured Rrari dal Tacco as the main guest, while the second night saw performances by Incis Zone, Sgribaz, Luchetto, Rico, and 22Simba, with closing DJ sets by Enomoney and Goss Vinyard. In 2025, the event moved to Piazza Mayer Ross on July 17th and 18th, as part of the 'Estate Sorana' summer program promoted by the Municipality of Sora. In 2026, the festival returns to its natural home, Parco Valente, with dates set for Friday, July 24th, and Saturday, July 25th.

A stage for emerging talent

The beating heart of the festival is music: Italian rap and hip-hop, with a precise mission that the organizers have championed since the first edition — to provide a real stage for emerging artists who rarely find dedicated spaces for the urban scene in lower Lazio. The evenings alternate live performances and DJ sets until late at night, in an atmosphere described by attendees as authentic and genuine, far from the logic of major commercial circuits.

Murals, photography, and sports

Alongside the concerts, the visual aspect is what gives the festival its name: throughout the event, street artists work live on creating murals — in 2024, a collective work nearly forty meters long was created on the park's field wall, signed by local artists. The program is completed by photography exhibitions, which have hosted professionals active in the music videos of well-known names in the national rap scene, and the one-on-one basketball tournament on the playground, reaffirming the link between hip-hop and street sports culture.

Parco Valente, a green lung returned to the city

Parco Valente is one of the most beloved parks in Sora, redeveloped in recent years thanks to the direct commitment of the X-Park association, which oversaw its renovation and beautification. The murals left by the various editions of the festival have become part of the park's landscape, transforming it into a small, permanent, and free urban art gallery.

Sora, between the Liri River and the mountains of Ciociaria

The festival is also an opportunity to discover Sora, a city in the province of Frosinone crossed by the Liri River and surrounded by the peaks that mark the border between Lazio and Abruzzo. The birthplace of Vittorio De Sica, Sora hosts a busy calendar of events every summer — the 'Estate Sorana' — of which the Street Art Festival represents the youngest and most contemporary soul, supported by the Municipality and followed with growing attention by the press and the public of the Lazio Region.

Street Art Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Street Art Festival is scheduled for Friday, July 24th, and Saturday, July 25th, at Parco Valente in Sora, on Via Aldo Moro. Two nights of rap and hip-hop concerts featuring emerging artists, live mural painting, photography exhibitions, and sports activities will bring urban culture back to the festival's symbolic park, following the 2025 interlude at Piazza Mayer Ross.

The festival returns to Parco Valente

For the 2026 edition, the Street Art Festival returns to its historic home: Parco Valente on Via Aldo Moro, in Sora, where the first editions left behind the large murals that now decorate the park's walls. The event is set for Friday, July 24th, and Saturday, July 25th, 2026.

The format follows the one that ensured the success of previous editions: two nights of live rap and hip-hop dedicated to emerging artists of the Italian scene, DJ sets to close the nights, writers working live on new mural works, photography exhibitions, and urban sports moments like the basketball tournament on the playground. The detailed concert lineup has not yet been published: announcements will be made on the festival's social media channels in the weeks leading up to the event.

The event is organized by ASD X-Park APS with local support, as part of the summer season of events in the Municipality of Sora, in the province of Frosinone.
