A day of vibrant colors, hot air balloons, and local flavors on the slopes of Mottarone
The Spring Festival is one of the most cherished events in Armeno, a small village in the province of Novara nestled between Lake Orta and the slopes of Mottarone. Organized by the Pro Loco Armeno with the patronage of the Municipality, the event transforms the area of Viale Cadorna, at the corner of Via Due Riviere, into a space dedicated to fun, conviviality, and discovery for an entire day.
The beauty of this festival lies in the variety of its offerings, all free and designed to engage both children and adults. The absolute star is the hot air balloon: in the morning with an educational workshop open to the public, and in the afternoon with tethered flights that allow you to observe Armeno from a unique perspective, rising safely up to twenty meters in the air.
At noon, it is time for lunch prepared by the Pro Loco, featuring specialties crafted by Armeno chefs: a perfect opportunity to enjoy local cuisine in a festive atmosphere. Music, singing, and dancing accompany the public until the evening, creating that cheerful and familiar vibe that is the event's hallmark.
Known as the "village of hospitality professionals" for its ancient tradition of waiters and chefs, Armeno is a town with deep roots in the heart of Piedmont. The Spring Festival is the perfect occasion to discover it, combining the festive day with a walk toward Lake Orta or a hike on Mottarone.
On Sunday, May 24, 2026, Armeno enjoyed a day entirely dedicated to the festival, with a program full of activities for young and old under the theme "Live the dream: see the world from another perspective!". The Pro Loco Armeno, with the patronage of the Municipality, brought Viale Cadorna to life from 9:00 AM until the evening.
Opening at 9:00 AM on Viale Cadorna, corner of Via Due Riviere.
