The historic fair that has brought the center of Lanzo Torinese to life since 1750
The Spring Fair is one of the most beloved events in Lanzo Torinese, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin that serves as the gateway to the picturesque Valli di Lanzo in Piedmont. This event boasts extraordinary historical significance: its journey began way back in 1750, making it a tradition that has been repeated for over two and a half centuries. Along with the Autumn Fair in September, it has marked the life of the town for generations.
For an entire Sunday in May, the streets and squares of the historic center become a vast, sprawling route filled with exhibitors, producers, and activities. The agricultural and commercial worlds meet the public through flavors, crafts, and traditions. Among the main highlights is the area dedicated to local products, where farms and local producers showcase the region's culinary excellence in a true agricultural and food exhibition.
The fair dedicates ample space to the rural world with displays of small and medium-sized animals and pony rides for children. There is also a motor area featuring cars, motorcycles, and trucks; a highlight is the exhibition of historic vehicles by the "Gino Tassi" Italian Historic Truck Club, which is highly appreciated by vintage vehicle enthusiasts.
Under the historic Ala Mercatale in Piazza Allisio, you will find the dining area managed by the local Pro Loco, featuring the traditional lunch of polenta and sausage. The atmosphere is completed by widespread entertainment: minigolf, games, live music, and jam sessions enliven the streets, while in Piazza Rolle, the funfair welcomes children, teenagers, and families.
The day is also an opportunity to visit the city's cultural heritage. Special openings include the "Ester Fornara Borla" Ethnographic Museum and Textile Art Laboratory on Via Leopoldo Usseglio, with exhibits dedicated to the history and traditions of the area. It is a unique opportunity to discover Lanzo Torinese and its identity, blending popular tradition and hospitality at the foot of the Valli di Lanzo.
The 2026 Spring Fair in Lanzo Torinese took place on Sunday, May 10, bringing the streets and squares of the historic center to life with exhibitors, producers, and numerous activities throughout the day.
