The Soriano Street Fest is the premier event that kicks off the summer in Soriano nel Cimino, a village in the Tuscia area of the Viterbo province, in Lazio. For two consecutive nights in early July, the streets and squares of the historic center, nestled at the foot of the Orsini Castle, come alive with lights, colors, music, and the aromas of street food. Promoted by the municipal tourism board as "the festival of the summer," the event turns the town into an open-air stage where visitors can wander freely between street food stalls, drink stations, and various entertainment options until late at night.

The heart of the festival is its culinary offering: street food stands and kitchens serve sweet and savory specialties to enjoy while strolling, accompanied by beer and refreshing drinks in a perfect summer atmosphere. The 2025 edition was further enriched by an artisanal and food market featuring local products, highlighting the Tuscia region's dedication to fine dining.

Music, shows, and entertainment for everyone

The soundtrack for the two evenings is provided by live music and DJ sets that keep the crowd entertained from aperitivo time until late. The streets and squares are enlivened by street performers, shows, children's games, and animation: a formula designed for both young people and families, allowing them to experience the village in an unusual and festive way. In 2025, the festival even extended into the night with a house and dance music event at the Orsini Castle.

Soriano nel Cimino, a village to discover

The town of Soriano nel Cimino sits on the slopes of Monte Cimino, home to an ancient beech forest recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town's skyline is dominated by the imposing Orsini Castle, built in the 13th century, surrounded by a maze of alleys, small squares, and panoramic viewpoints that serve as a natural backdrop for the festival. During the 2025 edition, guided tours were also offered to help visitors explore the village. It is no coincidence that Soriano is one of the most vibrant centers in the Viterbo province, famous throughout the region for its historic autumn Chestnut Festival.

The Soriano Street Fest inaugurates a particularly busy month of July for the town. During the same weekend, the Wild Boar Festival (Sagra del Cinghiale) takes place, while in the middle of the month, the Le Paperelle park hosts the evenings of the Ribolle Fest. Those who choose Soriano nel Cimino for a summer weekend will find a village in celebration, where street food and music intertwine with the most authentic traditions of the Lazio Tuscia.
