Circus comes to Soraga di Fassa

The Soraga Circen Festival is the most festive highlight of the Circen Dolomites Festival, a contemporary circus event that brightens up the entire Val di Fassa, in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige every summer. For three consecutive evenings, Prà del Preve—the large green area overlooking the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in the center of Soraga di Fassa—transforms into an artist's village where jugglers, acrobats, and clowns meet the public in a true village-fair atmosphere.

A festival in the UNESCO Dolomites

Organized by the local Fassa juggling group Circensema in collaboration with the INOUT Social Cooperative, the event is considered Italy's highest-altitude circus festival. The Circen Dolomites Festival doesn't stop in Soraga: throughout the week, it brings shows and performances to numerous locations across the valley—from Moena to Canazei, including high-altitude mountain huts and scenic trails—but it is in Soraga that the festival finds its most vibrant "village" atmosphere with the Circen Festival.

Music, games, and street food

The formula combines circus acts, live concerts, traditional games for children and families, and local "zero-mile" culinary offerings. Doors open at 6:00 PM each evening, with a program running late into the night, alternating between micro-circus, music, and grand outdoor productions. The event is designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, with a strong focus on accessibility and environmental sustainability.

Rain or shine

The mountains can be unpredictable: in case of rain, performances move to the Teatro della Gran Ciasa in Soraga, maintaining the same schedule.
