About Sommerfest Pfunders

Sommerfest Pfunders is the annual summer festival held in the small mountain village of Pfunders (Fundres), part of the municipality of Vintl (Vandoies) in the Puster Valley (South Tyrol). This two-day event features live music across multiple stages, creative workshops, outdoor yoga, family entertainment, and authentic South Tyrolean culinary specialties, all set against the pristine backdrop of the Pfunders Valley at over 1,100 meters above sea level. It is a genuine, convivial gathering that brings together the local community and visitors in a relaxed, festive atmosphere.

A summer festival in the heart of the Puster Valley mountains

Sommerfest Pfunders is the vibrant summer festival of Pfunders, a charming village in the municipality of Vintl, nestled at approximately 1,155 meters in the picturesque Pfunders Valley, within the Puster Valley (South Tyrol). In this nearly untouched corner of the Alps, where traditional farmsteads are meticulously maintained and nature takes center stage, the village comes alive for two days of celebration that blend music, tradition, and conviviality.

Live music on multiple stages

The heart of the event is its live music, with a rich and varied program spread across a main stage and a secondary stage. The audience can enjoy a wide range of genres, from psychedelic folk to indie, ska, and reggae, in a festive atmosphere suitable for all ages. Concerts animate the village from late afternoon until evening, turning the streets into an open-air stage.

Workshops, wellness, and family fun

The Sommerfest is about more than just music: the program includes numerous side activities designed for both adults and children. Offerings include creative workshops, morning yoga sessions in the open air, hula-hoop workshops, magic shows, improvisational theater, Tyrolean yodeling workshops, face painting, and festival styling stations with henna and glitter. It is an experience designed to engage families and bring the entire community together.

South Tyrolean gastronomy

True to the tradition of South Tyrolean village festivals, there is no shortage of local culinary specialties. Typical dishes from South Tyrolean cuisine, along with beer and refreshments, accompany the festivities, offering visitors an authentic taste of the Puster Valley's flavors.

An authentic mountain experience

Attending Sommerfest Pfunders means experiencing the genuine hospitality of a small alpine village, far from mass tourism, in a natural setting of rare beauty. The Pfunders Valley is known for its hiking trails and tranquil atmosphere: the summer festival is the perfect opportunity to discover this region and share moments of joy with the local community and fellow visitors.
