The great Sicilian taste showcase in Mirabella Imbaccari
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Sicula Gourmet is the food and wine event that transforms the historic center of Mirabella Imbaccari, a small town in the Calatino area of the Catania province, into a grand display of the island's flavors. Organized by the Municipality of Mirabella Imbaccari with the support of the Regional Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Mediterranean Fisheries, the event celebrates Sicilian agri-food and culinary excellence through three days of tastings, performances, and culture.
The heart of the festival winds along via Pio La Torre and piazza Aldo Moro, where producers' stands display and offer samples of the best of Sicilian tradition: artisanal cheeses and cured meats, extra virgin olive oil, natural wines, ancient grains, and traditional sweets. Mirabella Imbaccari is also known for its historic olive mill and the ancient tradition of bobbin lace (tombolo), elements that intertwine with the rural identity of the territory.
Beyond the tastings, Sicula Gourmet offers a packed calendar of events:
The event focuses on the themes of sustainability, biodiversity, and the development of rural tourism, highlighting the work of local agri-food companies, true ambassadors of the region. Sicula Gourmet is both a food festival and an opportunity for cultural promotion for Mirabella Imbaccari and the entire Calatino area, in the heart of Sicily.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: we recommend following the official channels of the Municipality of Mirabella Imbaccari and the event's social media page for the updated program.
