The festival of Sicilian craft beers in the heart of Capo d'Orlando
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Sicily Beer Fest is a traveling festival dedicated to Sicilian craft beer, organized by the Baz'Art Sicilia Association in partnership with Confagricoltura Messina and supported by the Municipality of Capo d'Orlando. The event traditionally kicks off its summer tour in Capo d'Orlando, a seaside town in the province of Messina overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, where the central Piazza Matteotti and the Via Crispi pedestrian area transform into a large village of taste just steps from the seafront.
The heart of the event lies in the wooden stalls of the Sicilian craft breweries: at least a dozen island producers offering dozens of different styles, from light ales to ambers and more complex, structured beers. Recent editions have featured names like Epica, Bruno Ribadi, Terre a Sud Est, Chinaschi, Seme Dorato, and Roosweltโa showcase highlighting the growth of the Sicilian brewing movement, where artisanal creativity and local ingredients create increasingly acclaimed labels.
Alongside the beer taps, the festival offers the best of Sicilian street food: black pork porchetta, Aeolian-style swordfish sandwiches, horse meat meatballs, fried pizza, various types of arancini, panelle, and pani ca' meusa. Each evening, the program is enlivened by live music and free performances, while an afternoon corner for children offers face painting and gadgets. Admission is completely free, and drinks and food are paid for directly at the stalls.
The Capo d'Orlando stop is set in a highly popular tourist destination: Capo d'Orlando, in the heart of the gulf that bears its name, is one of the most famous seaside resorts in the province of Messina, Sicily, and an ideal starting point for exploring the Nebrodi mountains and the Aeolian Islands. The Sicily Beer Fest thus combines the discovery of craft beers with the flavors of island street food and the conviviality typical of summer evenings on the Tyrrhenian Sea, making it a highly anticipated date on the town's calendar.
The dates for the 2026 edition of the Sicily Beer Fest in Capo d'Orlando have not yet been announced: at the moment, the festival's official website lists the program as "coming soon" and the presence of the Capo d'Orlando stop in the 2026 calendar is not yet confirmed.
As in previous years, the event is expected to take place at the beginning of August in the town center, between Piazza Matteotti and the Via Crispi pedestrian area, featuring stalls from Sicilian craft breweries, Southern street food, and evenings of live music with free admission. The final calendar will be published on the organization's official channels.
