Shock Wave Festival is the music event that has redefined the summer in Francavilla al Mare, a seaside town in the province of Chieti, Abruzzo. Launched just a few years ago, it has quickly established itself as the largest festival ever held on an Abruzzese beach: the stage is set up directly on the sand of the Lungomare Francesco Paolo Tosti, with the Adriatic Sea providing the perfect setting for evening concerts.

The strength of Shock Wave lies in its programming, which attracts some of the most followed artists on the Italian scene every year. Rap, trap, indie, pop, and singer-songwriter acts take turns on stage over three nights of incredible live music, turning the coastline into a landmark for young audiences from across Central Italy.

The 2026 edition is titled "Rifletti - Il Mare Dentro" (Reflect - The Sea Within), a theme that weaves music together with the maritime identity of Francavilla.

During the festival, the entire municipality of Francavilla al Mare mobilizes: evening and night shuttle services, dedicated parking areas, traffic modifications, and safety ordinances make the event a community-wide affair. Beyond the concerts, the promenade comes alive with stalls, food points, and nightlife, making Shock Wave much more than just a concert series.
