A Journey into the Camunian Middle Ages

In Cimbergo, Valle Camonica, and the province of Brescia, Cimbergo Castle stands on a rocky spur overlooking the village: a medieval fortress dating back to the 12th-13th centuries. It is in this setting that Semberc Medievale comes to life, a re-enactment that revives the echoes of a distant past within the castle walls and the streets of the historic center.

Markets, Fire, and Rock Carvings

The program blends different facets of the medieval festival:

• Food markets and artisan stalls
• Workshops for children and adults
• Fire shows and concerts
• Guided tours of the rock carving sites

The rock carvings themselves make Cimbergo a special place: the municipality is part of the Regional Reserve of Rock Carvings, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the re-enactment also becomes an opportunity to discover this extraordinary archaeological heritage.

Organized by the Associazione Archexp - Archexperience APS, Semberc Medievale is part of the Valle Camonica event calendar and attracts visitors from all over the region. Free admission and its immersive format make it an event suitable for families and history enthusiasts, capable of combining re-enactment, culture, and conviviality in one of the most evocative villages in the province of Brescia.
