The Neighborhoods' Carnival
The Carnival of Schio, in the Alto Vicentino area of the province of Vicenza, is one of the most beloved winter festivals in the region. Its heart is the Trofeo dei Quartieri, the competition that has pitted the city's districts against each other for decades: each district builds its own allegorical float, the result of the passionate work of volunteers who labor for months in workshops. It is a deeply rooted tradition, making this carnival a true community event dedicated to the spirit of 'Schio Carnevale Insieme' (Schio Carnival Together).
Three Parades, One Grand Spectacle
The schedule includes three grand parades starting from Via Tito Livio: a Sunday preview, the evocative Saturday night parade, and the final parade with the awarding of the Trofeo dei Quartieri. The allegorical floats are created by the A.D.C. - Amici del Carnevale di Schio APS (Friends of the Carnival of Schio APS) in collaboration with Pro Loco Schio.

Admission to all parades is free. Organized by Pro Loco Schio and the Amici del Carnevale, the Carnival of Schio is the festival that colors the winter of the city and the entire Alto Vicentino region.

The 2026 Carnival of Schio is ready to color the city center with three grand parades and free admission, in the spirit of 'Schio Carnevale Insieme'. The parades start from Via Tito Livio and cross the historic center, accompanied by entertainment and music in Piazza Alessandro Rossi, food stalls with fritters, hot chocolate, and mulled wine, the Cogollo del Cengio town band, and the Caltrano majorettes. How to get there
Schio is located in the Alto Vicentino area, in the province of Vicenza. By car: take the Thiene-Schio exit (A31 Valdastico motorway), then follow signs for the center. The parades start from Via Tito Livio and cross the historic center.
