Thiene's Fairytale Christmas
During the Christmas period, the historic center of Thiene (province of Vicenza) transforms into a fairytale world with "Fairy Tale Christmas", the most anticipated event of the "Christmas of Wonders" program, organized by Confcommercio and the Amici di Thiene association with the Municipality.
Over 300 Costumed Characters
The heart of the festival is the over 300 costumed characters who animate the streets with lights, colors, scents, and flavors. The streets and squares of the center become fairytale settings with evocative names: Via delle Fiabe (Fairy Tale Street), Paese di Babbo Natale (Santa's Village), the Rotonde delle Meraviglie (Wonder Rotundas), and the Paese di Pinocchio (Pinocchio's Village). A route designed especially for children and families, with entertainment, flash mobs, and music.
Markets, Workshops, and Flavors
Alongside the shows, visitors can discover typical Christmas gastronomic specialties at the food stalls and browse the craft markets. Creative workshops and musical moments complete an atmosphere that makes Thiene one of the most charming Christmas destinations in the Alto Vicentino.
Fairy Tale Christmas — edition 2026
For Christmas 2026, "Fairy Tale Christmas" will animate the historic center of Thiene on selected weekends in December, within the broader "Christmas of Wonders". As tradition dictates, over 300 costumed characters will bring streets and squares transformed into fairytale settings to life.
Among Via delle Fiabe, Santa's Village, Pinocchio's Village, craft markets, creative workshops, and Christmas gastronomic specialties, the event is primarily dedicated to children. The precise dates of the weekends and the detailed program will be communicated by the organizers (Amici di Thiene, Municipality, and Confcommercio).

How to get there
Thiene is reachable by car from the A31 Valdastico (Thiene exit) and by train on the Vicenza–Schio line. Events take place in the historic center (Corso Garibaldi, Via Trento, Piazza Ferrarin, Piazza Chilesotti).
