About Scandicci Sounds

Scandicci Sounds is the new music festival bringing the Anello di San Giusto to life in the heart of Scandicci, near Florence. Enjoy three nights of free live music, spoken word, and shared emotionsโ€”a journey across genres and generations, from singer-songwriter tracks and pop to the infectious energy of reggae-ska. This new summer arena is designed especially for younger audiences as part of the wider Scandicci Open City program.

Scandicci Sounds: The new live music arena

A new live music event is born in Scandicci, just outside Florence: Scandicci Sounds. For three nights, the Anello di San Giusto transforms into an open-air arena where singer-songwriter performances, pop, and rhythmic beats take the stage, all with free admission. The event is promoted and organized by the Beat 15 Association with the support of the Municipality of Scandicci, and is part of the extensive Scandicci Open City calendar, the summer festival bringing over 130 eventsโ€”including music, theater, cinema, dance, and artโ€”to the entire city.

A journey through genres and generations

The identity of Scandicci Sounds lies in its variety: over just a few days, the festival brings together different languages, from sung poetry and narrative to the energy of reggae-ska and the freshness of pop. It is a program designed to engage a broad audience, particularly younger generations, by offering high-quality concerts in an intimate and accessible space.

Scandicci and the Province of Florence

Scandicci, a key hub in the Florence metropolitan area in Tuscany, has boasted a vibrant summer cultural program for years. With Scandicci Sounds, the city adds a new highlight dedicated to the contemporary music scene, showcasing the open-air venue of the Anello di San Giusto and confirming the area's commitment to combining live performance with community social life.

Free admission for all

All evenings feature free admission, making the festival an open invitation for families, young people, and music lovers alike. Concerts begin in the evening, as the Anello di San Giusto arena welcomes the public to experience music together under the summer sky.
