Three days of music, sports, and conversation in the heart of the Asti Monferrato
ScaloFestival is the vibrant cultural event in Cerro Tanaro, a charming town in the Province of Asti, nestled in the heart of the Piedmontese Monferrato. Born from the vision of the Municipal Administration and curated by artistic directors Chiara Buratti and Aldo Delaude, the festival brings the picturesque Piazza della Libertà to life for three days, turning this Monferrato village into a crossroads of sports, music, and storytelling.
The 2026 edition is titled "Vento in faccia" (Wind in the Face), inspired by one of the most famous songs by Bandabardò, who will be among the headlining acts. The theme evokes freedom, movement, and resilience—embracing the forces we cannot control but choose to face. Following the 2025 debut, which was dedicated to women and their courage, this year’s festival focuses on two complementary pillars: sports and music.
The festival format alternates between two daily highlights: late afternoon sports talks featuring icons of Italian athletics, and evening concerts in the square. The 2026 guest list includes Olympic skiing champions like Federica Brignone, Deborah Compagnoni, and Giuliano Razzoli, alongside Paralympic athletes and ultra-runners. On the musical side, the lineup features the concert "Poets: from Bob Dylan to Leonard Cohen", a tribute to Fabrizio De André by the Piccola Orchestra Sand Creek, and a grand finale with Bandabardò.
ScaloFestival is more than just a series of shows; it is a cultural project that celebrates Cerro Tanaro and the entire Asti Monferrato region in Piedmont. With free admission to all events, the festival welcomes a diverse audience, from families and singer-songwriter enthusiasts to sports fans and curious visitors. Food and drink services are available throughout the event, which takes place in the square regardless of weather conditions.
The 2026 edition consists of three evenings in Cerro Tanaro, each featuring an afternoon sports talk (6:30 PM) and an evening concert (9:30 PM) in Piazza della Libertà.
Talk with Olympic champion Federica Brignone, Paralympic athlete Andrea Lanfri, ultra-runner Michele Graglia, and Paralympic skier René De Silvestro. In the evening, the concert "Poets: from Bob Dylan to Leonard Cohen" with Dylan's violinist Scarlet Rivera, Cohen's drummer Rafael Gayol, and special guest Alberto Fortis.
