The Orbetello Sausage Festival
The Sausage Festival is a winter culinary event held in Orbetello, in the heart of the lagoon in the province of Grosseto, Tuscany. Considered by many to be the first festival of the year in Maremma, it is organized by the U.S. Orbetello 1908 sports club with the support of numerous volunteers. It takes place in the covered and heated spaces of the Ottorino Vezzosi Stadium, a setup that allows guests to enjoy the festivities even on cold February evenings.
A celebration of taste and conviviality
The star of the festival is the sausage, cooked according to tradition and accompanied by a menu waiting to be discovered, featuring typical products from the Maremma territory. Food stalls open every evening starting at 7:30 PM, offering guests the chance to dine in a welcoming and social atmosphere. The vibe is typical of a local village fair: genuine, familiar, and deeply rooted in the identity of the Municipality of Orbetello.
Live music and entertainment
The evenings are accompanied by live music, with bands and performances animating the festival during the weekend. Past editions have featured local groups and tribute bands, as well as karaoke nights, creating a lively program suitable for all ages. The area also includes supervised entertainment for children, making the festival an ideal destination for families.

More than just a food festival, the Sausage Festival is a moment of connection for the Orbetello community and the many visitors who reach the Maremma during the winter months. Sausage Festival — edition 2026
The second edition of the Sausage Festival was held in Orbetello from February 5th to 9th, 2026, confirming the event as one of the first food festivals of the year in Maremma. The U.S. Orbetello 1908 food stalls opened every evening from 7:30 PM in the covered and heated facilities of the Vezzosi Stadium.
The musical program animated the central evenings: Friday, February 6th with Cornocuore, Saturday, February 7th with the A & D Live Band Orbetello, and Sunday, February 8th with a karaoke night with Stefania. The opening and closing nights, Thursday the 5th and Monday the 9th, were dedicated exclusively to the culinary experience.

Location
Stadio Ottorino Vezzosi, Via Marconi 2, Orbetello (GR). The entrance is located just outside the historic center gates, in the former seaplane base area.
How to reach us
By car from the S.S. 1 Aurelia, take the Orbetello exit, then follow signs for the center; the stadium can be reached from the causeway and Orbetello Scalo via Via Marconi. By train: Orbetello-Monte Argentario station, a short distance away.
Hours and admission
Food stalls open every evening from 7:30 PM. Free admission; pay for what you consume at the table. Covered and heated areas.
