The Santa Caterina Festival is the most anticipated summer event in the seaside village of Santa Caterina, a coastal district of the municipality of Nardò overlooking the Ionian Sea, in the province of Lecce. Located just a few kilometers from the town center, nestled between the 16th-century watchtowers — Torre Santa Caterina and Torre dell'Alto — and a stone's throw from the Porto Selvaggio nature reserve, the area revolves around the sea all year round.
