About Sant'Antonio Festival

Every year in mid-June, the tiny village of Falesina celebrates its patron saint with the Sant'Antonio Festival, a local feast organized by the Pro Loco Vignola Falesina. Two days of tradition featuring Holy Mass, a community lunch, music, entertainment, and the historic prize raffle. An intimate and authentic event that brings together the community of this mountain hamlet in the Municipality of Vignola-Falesina, in the province of Trento.

The patronal feast of a mountain village

The Sant'Antonio Festival in Falesina is the patronal feast of Falesina, a tiny hamlet of just sixty inhabitants that is part of the Municipality of Vignola-Falesina, in the province of Trento, in the heart of the Valsugana valley and just a stone's throw from the Mòcheni Valley. Dedicated to Saint Anthony, whose feast day falls on June 13th, the festival takes place over two days in mid-month and represents one of the most heartfelt events of the year for this small mountain community in Trentino-Alto Adige.

A tradition guarded by the Pro Loco

The event is organized by the Pro Loco Vignola Falesina, a volunteer association founded with the specific goal of reviving and showcasing local traditions that were at risk of being forgotten. Since its inception, the Pro Loco has made the Sant'Antonio Festival one of its signature events, alongside the Sagra del Dos and the autumn chestnut festival. The feast is a gathering point that also draws back those who have left the village and return willingly for this occasion.

Program and atmosphere

The religious heart of the festival is the Holy Mass celebrated in the village church, followed by the festivities that bring the hamlet to life. The program includes:

  • the traditional and popular festival lunch, featuring local cuisine;
  • music and entertainment to accompany the two days;
  • the prize raffle, a permanent fixture of the event, with prizes ranging from shopping and fuel vouchers to wellness stays and dinners at local restaurants;
  • moments of conviviality that involve the entire community.

The Falesina Social House

An important chapter is linked to the Falesina Social House: the building, once home to the elementary school and the rectory, has been recovered through renovation work and now houses a community hall, a kitchen, and a renovated reading room in the attic. The structure has become the reference point for the Pro Loco's activities and the social life of the village.

An authentic corner of Trentino

Visiting the Sant'Antonio Festival means discovering a genuine and non-touristy side of Trentino: a village clinging to the mountains, reachable via a road through the woods, where the patronal feast still retains its value as a community ritual. For those seeking an experience far from the crowds, Falesina and the Municipality of Vignola-Falesina offer silent landscapes, living traditions, and the simple hospitality of a small mountain community.

Sant'Antonio Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Sant'Antonio Festival in Falesina was held on June 13th and 14th, featuring Holy Mass in the village church, the traditional festival lunch, music, and entertainment. The occasion also marked the official inauguration of the Falesina Social House, renovated and returned to the community by the Pro Loco Vignola Falesina.

The 2026 Sant'Antonio Festival in Falesina took place over the weekend of June 13th and 14th, confirming the annual patronal feast of the hamlet. The program combined the religious moment of Holy Mass, celebrated by Father Antonio Brugnara, with popular festivities, including music, entertainment, and the traditional and popular festival lunch.

The highlight of the edition was the inauguration of the Falesina Social House: the building, once home to the elementary school and the rectory, was blessed and returned to the community following renovation works, featuring a community hall, a kitchen, and an attic reading room. The Pro Loco Vignola Falesina's historic prize raffle was also held as usual.
