About Cherry Festival

Every year, during the first three weekends of June, Torre di Mosto celebrates its most beloved festival: the Sant'Antonio Festival, also known as the Cherry Festival. Founded in 1977, it celebrates the town's symbolic fruit with food stalls, traditional Venetian specialties, local wines, and many evenings of live music. The proceeds support the parish kindergarten, in an event that for decades has combined taste, community, and solidarity in the Basso Piave area, in the province of Venice.

The historic festival of Torre di Mosto

The Sant'Antonio Festival, also known as the Cherry Festival, is the most important and long-standing festival in Torre di Mosto, a municipality in the province of Venice in the Basso Piave region. It takes place on the first three weekends of June and dates back to 1977, the year of its first edition: since then, it has become a landmark of the eastern Venetian summer.

Cherries and gastronomy

The festival celebrates cherries, the symbolic fruit of the area, at the height of their season. The food stall offers traditional Venetian dishes accompanied by local wines, in long convivial evenings under the marquee. The festival is intertwined with the rich calendar of events that, in June, enlivens Torre di Mosto around the theme of cherries.

Live music and festive evenings

The heart of the entertainment is the live music evenings, with concerts and orchestras taking place over the three weekends. This is the classic formula of the great Venetian festivals, capable of attracting a large audience from neighboring municipalities.

A festival of solidarity

The festival is organized by the Comitato Sagra Sant'Antonio (Sant'Antonio Festival Committee) thanks to the work of volunteers, and has a strong solidarity dimension: the proceeds are used to support the Maria Bambina parish kindergarten. For over forty years, the Cherry Festival has thus combined tradition, gastronomy, and commitment to the community of Torre di Mosto, in the province of Venice.

Cherry Festival — edition 2026

The Sant'Antonio Festival (Cherry Festival) is awaited in Torre di Mosto during the first three weekends of June 2026. It will again feature food stalls with Venetian specialties and cherries, local wines, and evenings of live music, in support of the parish kindergarten. Precise dates and program will be announced by the Festival Committee.
