Four days of gastronomy, music, and solidarity in the Sant'Antonio hamlet of Castellamonte
The Sant'Antonio Country Festival is one of the most cherished events in the hamlet of Sant'Antonio, a small community within the municipality of Castellamonte, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, right in the heart of the Piedmontese Canavese. Established in 2014, it has become a staple of the early summer season in just over a decade, drawing families, groups of friends, and visitors from neighboring towns for four days of celebration deeply rooted in local rural traditions.
The heart of the festival is the large dining pavilion, which offers an à la carte menu of meat and fish every evening, featuring Piedmontese culinary specialties and dishes designed to satisfy every palate. Fine food is paired with live music: recent editions have featured performers from the popular and dance repertoire such as Marco Picchiottino, the Loris Gallo Orchestra, and Eporadio, keeping the evenings lively until late.
The hallmark of the Country Festival is its charitable spirit. The Solidarity Day, the highlight of the event, includes a non-competitive walk through the hamlet's countryside, a charity lunch, a tractor gathering, and an agricultural gymkhana, all in an atmosphere of authentic rural celebration. The proceeds from these initiatives are donated to the Candiolo Cancer Research and Treatment Institute, a gesture that has linked the small community of Sant'Antonio to a great cause for years.
Organized by E.R.S.A. - Ente Ricreativo S.Antonio Castellamonte, a non-profit association that manages the sports facilities and recreational life of the hamlet, the festival is built entirely on the work of volunteers. Between dinners, entertainment, the traditional book presentation, and many moments of social gathering, the Country Festival showcases how village life is still celebrated in the Canavese today.
The 12th edition of the Country Festival proved to be a great success for the Sant'Antonio hamlet of Castellamonte. For four days, the dining pavilion offered an à la carte menu of meat and fish, accompanied by live music. The event renewed its commitment to charity with the Solidarity Day, the proceeds of which were donated to the Candiolo Cancer Research and Treatment Institute.
For four days, from Friday to Monday, the dining pavilion remained open with an à la carte menu of meat and fish, enlivened by live music.
