The Diego Del Rio Municipal Park becomes the stage for local artists
The Talent Festival is the end-of-June highlight in Sant'Antimo, a town in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania, that gives a voice and a stage to local artists. The concept comes from local singer-songwriter Sabrina Russo, who holds degrees in jazz singing and pop-rock composition and arrangement, and who also serves as the event's artistic director. The goal is simple and practical: to showcase the many local talents who often lack opportunities to perform near home, offering them a real stage, an audience, and feedback from industry experts.
While the format is that of a competition, the tone is that of a local village festival. Singers, musicians, and artists from various disciplines—all with ties to Sant'Antimo and the surrounding area—take turns on stage. Performances are evaluated by a jury of professionals and figures from the artistic and musical world, who announce the winners at the end of the evening. However, the organizers emphasize one point: more than just an artistic contest, the Talent Festival is a community celebration, a stage dedicated to those who want to share their talent through music, song, and art.
Everything takes place in the Diego Del Rio Municipal Park, the main green space in Sant'Antimo, with an entrance on Via Roma. It is the city's most vibrant spot on summer evenings: trees, pathways, and a central area perfectly suited for hosting a stage and an outdoor audience. The choice of the park is no coincidence—bringing live music back to a public, free, and easily accessible space is part of the very spirit of the event.
The festival is promoted by the Events and Entertainment Commission of the Municipality of Sant'Antimo, chaired by Councilor Antimo Luca Esempio, with the administration led by Mayor Massimo Buonanno and the support of the Metropolitan City of Naples. It is an entirely public and free event, designed to enliven the city with cultural initiatives and provide a pathway for the growth of young local artists.
Those who arrive at the Municipal Park won't find a lineup of big names, but something different and perhaps more authentic: an open-air evening where an entire city recognizes its own youth as they take the stage. Performances range from pop to singer-songwriter tracks, jazz to artistic acts, and the competition format keeps the excitement high until the final announcement. It is a family-friendly, free-admission event that concludes with music and a DJ set—a great reason to discover a corner of the Neapolitan province far from the usual tourist circuits.
Following its 2025 debut, the Talent Festival returned to Sant'Antimo on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 7:30 PM, once again at the Diego Del Rio Municipal Park. This second edition confirmed the competition format open to local artists, under the artistic direction of local singer-songwriter Sabrina Russo.
Performances were evaluated by a jury composed of Antonio Ponticiello, Ande, Nino Mosca, and Dylan Ragosta. Among the most anticipated moments was the return to the stage of Sofia Di Donato, winner of the first edition, who shared her artistic journey since her victory with the audience, alongside the participation of chef Antimo Di Giovannantonio. The evening concluded with a DJ set by Antonio Blackout.
As the organizers emphasized, the event represents much more than a simple artistic contest: it is a community celebration, a space dedicated to those who wish to share their talent through music, song, and art. Mayor Massimo Buonanno reiterated the administration's commitment to these moments of gathering as a tool to enliven the city through culture. The initiative was promoted by the Events and Entertainment Commission chaired by Councilor Antimo Luca Esempio, with Councilor Cammisa and the support of the Metropolitan City of Naples.
