The San Tiburzio Patronal Feast is the most anticipated and well-attended event in San Benigno Canavese, a town in the Canavese area of the province of Turin, in the heart of Piedmont. Every year in July, the town gathers around its patron saints—Tiburzio, Primo, and Feliciano—in a celebration that bridges the spiritual and the social.

Religious tradition and the procession of the relics

The most solemn moment of the festival is the procession of the relics of Saints Tiburzio, Primo, and Feliciano, which winds through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by a marching band and the faithful. Devotion to these saints is rooted in the millenary history of the village, tied to the famous Abbey of Fruttuaria, founded in the year 1000 and the spiritual heart of the entire Canavese territory. The patronal festivities are traditionally held on the second Sunday of July.
