Who was San Pantaleone

San Pantaleone, a physician and martyr from the 4th century, is one of the most venerated figures in both the East and the West. In Frisa, he is invoked as the protector of the community: his statue, kept in the parish church dedicated to him, is the focal point of the July 27th celebrations, when it is carried in procession among the faithful.

The festival program

The patronal day alternates between sacred rites and popular celebrations. The religious core centers on solemn masses and the procession of the San Pantaleone statue through the village streets. The civic side features live music, fireworks, and food stalls serving local specialties, which bring the village to life until late in the evening.
