The fair of medicinal herbs and natural wellness of Saludecio
During the greenest weekend of the Romagna spring, the village of Saludecio, in the province of Rimini, hosts SalusErbe, one of Emilia-Romagna's longest-running and most beloved events dedicated to medicinal herbs and natural wellness. Now in its 39th edition in 2026, the fair transforms the entire medieval historic centre into a sensory journey of aromas, flavours, and healing properties, blending tradition, culture, and performing arts.
For the occasion, the streets and squares of Saludecio are renamed with evocative names: the Via delle Erbe e della Salute and the Piazza dei Sapori host the stalls of a large spring market. Here you'll find herbalists, nursery gardeners, organic and natural food producers, alternative medicine experts, green cosmetics artisans, and gardening and environmental sustainability enthusiasts. It's an opportunity to discover aromatic plants, spices, and traditional remedies, guided by experts and cooks who show how to use herbs in the kitchen.
SalusErbe is not just a market: the village comes alive with street performances, live music, and dances ranging from flamenco to Balkan sounds, from Southern Italian tarantellas to Celtic music, not forgetting the Romagna tradition. Between stalls, there are workshops for children, nature walks, themed conferences, book presentations, and moments dedicated to yoga and wellness disciplines.
Taste is the star: the refreshment points offer themed menus dedicated to the flavours of nature, where medicinal herbs become ingredients in dishes and drinks. A gastronomic offering that celebrates the link between territory, health, and the culinary tradition of the Valconca.
Organized by the Municipality of Saludecio with the support of the local area, SalusErbe has been a spring reference point for the Rimini hinterland for almost forty years, attracting visitors from all over Romagna and the neighbouring Marche region. Admission is free, and the historic centre of Saludecio—one of the best-preserved historic centres in the Valconca—provides the ideal setting for a day dedicated to greenery and wellness.
The 39th edition of SalusErbe, titled 'Radici del BenEssere' (Roots of Well-being), filled the historic centre of Saludecio on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April 2026, opening from 3:00 PM. The village transformed into the Via delle Erbe e della Salute and Piazza dei Sapori, hosting the usual spring market of herbalists, nursery gardeners, organic producers, and natural cosmetics artisans, alongside workshops, conferences, and themed refreshment points. Admission was free.
Among the artists announced for the two days: Centro de Arte Flamenco, L'Uva Grisa, Lune d'Oriente, Lunanòa, La Staccia, Fermento Etnico Folk Band, Alter Duo, La Paranza dei Tamburi, Pranvera Balkan, Duo Accefal, Bucci-Valli, The Clover Band, and Fola.
The 2026 edition took place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April, opening from 3:00 PM. The event traditionally takes place on the weekend around April 25th.
