Flower and Ornamental Plant Market Exhibition

A tradition spanning over seventy years

The Flower and Ornamental Plant Market Exhibition is one of the most deeply rooted events in the calendar of Pesaro, the provincial capital of the Marche region. Founded in the mid-1950s, the event has surpassed its seventieth edition and continues to attract thousands of visitors each autumn, including gardening enthusiasts and the simply curious, to the heart of the city.

The event traditionally takes place on the first weekend of October. After some editions held along Viale della Repubblica, in the seaside area, it has returned to the very central Piazza del Popolo, in front of the Ducal Palace. This choice reduces inconvenience for residents and brings the exhibition back to Pesaro's main square.

What to find at the exhibition

For three days, the square transforms into a large, spread-out garden. Among the stands, you will find:

• Floriculturists and florists with ornamental plants, seasonal flowers, bulbs, and succulents;
• Local beekeepers with demonstrations of bee work and honey tastings;
• Terracotta artisans and producers of pots and gardening accessories;
• the "A. Cecchi" Agricultural Institute of Pesaro, a historic presence with products from its educational workshops;
• a market for hobbyists and creative arts set up in the adjacent Piazzale Collenuccio.

An event for the city

The Flower Exhibition is not just a market; it's an opportunity to rediscover urban green care and the beauty of public spaces. In recent editions, the Municipality of Pesaro has complemented the exhibition with educational sessions on flora and nature, themed broadcasts from the Biosphere, live demonstrations, and workshops for adults and children.

The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Pesaro with the Economic Activities service, highlights the region's floricultural realities and the local economy of the historic center, confirming itself as one of the most attended events of the Marche autumn.

When and where

The event takes place in Pesaro on the first weekend of October, with continuous hours from morning to evening and free admission. During the event, some traffic modifications are in place in the historic center to allow for the setup of the stands.
