Concert season by the Fondazione Pasquale Battista in Triggiano
I Fiori Musicali is the concert season conceived and promoted by the Fondazione Pasquale Battista in the municipality of Triggiano, a town in the metropolitan area of Bari, Apulia. Launched in 2024, the festival reached its third edition in 2026 and has established itself as one of the most refined musical appointments in the Bari area, under the artistic direction of maestro Nicola Petruzzella.
The project explores music in all its forms: from the sacred intimacy of the Baroque Miserere to the creative freedom of quartets blending classical and jazz, from sonic journeys spanning continents to the comic lightness of Pergolesi's La serva padrona, and the emotional tensions of the Mozartian universe. Each concert is designed as an immersive experience, capable of bringing even the less experienced audience closer to the classical repertoire.
The season takes place in two iconic spaces of Triggiano's cultural life: the Casa della Cultura «Rocco Dicillo», with its theater hall, and the evocative Church of Santa Maria Veterana, on Via Carroccio, an ideal setting for sacred music programs and oratorios. The choice to alternate between theater and church reconnects music with the city's urban and devotional spaces.
All concerts offer free admission, in line with the Foundation's commitment to making great music accessible to the entire community. The festival is sponsored by the Department of Culture of the Apulia Region and the Municipality of Triggiano, with the support of local private sponsors.
The third edition of the Fondazione Pasquale Battista concert season takes place in Triggiano from March to November 2026, with seven free-admission concerts under the artistic direction of Nicola Petruzzella. The program spans centuries and genres, from Baroque sacred music to the dialogue between classical and jazz, through 18th-century musical theater and the world of Mozart.
The events are held in the theater hall of the Casa della Cultura «Rocco Dicillo» and the Church of Santa Maria Veterana, starting at 8:00 PM. The festival is sponsored by the Apulia Region and the Municipality of Triggiano.
