The Salina Sound Festival is a young electronic music event that brings clubbing culture and DJ sets to Salina, the second-largest island in the Aeolian archipelago, in the province of Messina (Sicily). Recognizable by its motto "Disconnect to Reconnect", the festival invites you to unplug from your daily routine and reconnect with nature, the sea, and music in one of the most evocative landscapes in the Mediterranean.
The concept: four days, six events
The festival format spans four days and six events, designed to accompany the audience from dawn to sunset and into the night. Alongside electronic DJ sets, the program weaves in tasting parties dedicated to the island's flavors and social moments that highlight local food and wine production, starting with the famous Malvasia delle Lipari wine and Salina capers.

Unlike large urban festivals, the Salina Sound Festival uses the territory itself as its stage. The 2026 edition of the Salina Sound Festival, the second of the event, was held from Friday, May 29 to Monday, June 1, 2026, on the island of Salina, in the Aeolian archipelago (province of Messina). Faithful to the "4 days, 6 events" formula, the festival combined electronic DJ sets and tasting parties in various locations on the island, under the motto "Disconnect to Reconnect". The event confirmed its identity as a niche gathering, capable of blending contemporary clubbing, Mediterranean landscapes, and Aeolian gastronomy.

Practical information — Salina Sound
How to get there
Salina can only be reached by sea, via ferries and hydrofoils departing from the port of Milazzo (the main hub for the Aeolian Islands), from Messina, Palermo, and the other islands of the archipelago. The arrival ports on the island are Santa Marina Salina and Rinella (a hamlet of Leni). To reach Milazzo: take the A20 Messina-Palermo motorway, exit at Milazzo, or take a train to the Milazzo station.

Festival tickets and passes are available online through the official pre-sale platform. We recommend booking in advance due to the event's limited capacity.
Where to stay
The island offers hotels, B&Bs, and vacation rentals in the villages of Santa Marina Salina, Malfa, Lingua, and Pollara. Given limited availability, booking well in advance is highly recommended.
