Two evenings of neighborhood festivities in Verolengo featuring pizza, grilled meats, and music
The Saints Peter and Paul Festival is one of the most cherished traditions of Borgo Giolito-Verne, a historic district in Verolengo, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. Promoted by the Borgo Giolito-Verne Association, the event follows the traditional Italian calendar, which celebrates Saints Peter and Paul on June 29th, interpreted here as a popular, convivial neighborhood party open to everyone.
The heart of the festival is Via Aldo Moro, which transforms into a large social space for two nights. The event takes place on Friday and Saturday, with activities starting at 7:30 PM. Long tables, the aroma of the grill, and music entertain guests until late in the evening, in the informal atmosphere typical of Piedmontese local fairs and neighborhood festivals.
The culinary offerings are simple and delicious, perfect for summer evenings:
The kitchen is run by the volunteers of Borgo Giolito-Verne, who dedicate their time and energy every year to bring the neighborhood to life.
Alongside the food and wine, music accompanies both evenings, creating a festive mood. It is a great opportunity for neighbors, families, and friends to reconnect at one of the many local festivals that define the summer in the Chivasso area.
Neighborhood festivals like this are an important part of social life in Verolengo: beyond celebrating the patron saints Peter and Paul, they strengthen neighborly bonds and keep the identity of individual districts alive. The Borgo Giolito-Verne Association is active year-round with initiatives and events, and the summer festival in June is its most anticipated appointment.
The 2026 Saints Peter and Paul Festival in Verolengo takes place on Friday, June 19th and Saturday, June 20th on Via Aldo Moro, organized by the Borgo Giolito-Verne Association. For both evenings, starting at 7:30 PM, the program includes pizza parties, grilled meat, and music. A simple and convivial neighborhood festival that brings together residents and families of the district for dinner and fun during the warm summer evenings.
